SETTING YOUR SMARTRG505N IN BRIDGE MODE

Open a web browser and navigate to the modem’s web interface by going to the following address: http://192.168.1.1

Click on the Advanced Configuration link. (Found in the top right corner)

Enter the Admin username and password. (These should both be admin unless you’ve changed them)

Click on the Advanced Setup link. (Found on the left side of the page)

Click on the WAN Service link. (Found just below Advanced Setup)

If there is anything present in the Wide Area Network (WAN) Service Setup table, check the Remove box(es) and then click the Remove button.

Click on the Layer2 Interface link. (Found just above the WAN Service link)

Click on the PTM Interface link. (Found just below Layer 2 Interface)

If there is anything present in the DSL PTM Interface Configuration table, check the Remove box(es) and then click the Remove button.

Click the Add button.

Check the Path0 (Fast) and Path1 (Interleaved) boxes.

Click Apply/Save.

Click the WAN Service link. (Found on the left side of the page)

Click the Add button.

Select the appropriate WAN Service Interface Configuration value from the drop down list.
(There should be only one value that starts with ptm, select this.)

Click Next.

Select Bridging as the WAN service type.

Set the 802.1P Priority field to 1.

Set the 802.1Q VLAN ID field to 35.

Click Next.

You should now find yourself at the WAN Setup – Summary page, click Apply/Save.

You are now setup in bridge mode
